Old Orkney 2016 8 Year Old

Old Orkney 8 Year Old single malt is crafted with spirit from an un-disclosed Orkney distillery that was distilled in 2016, and matured in a blend of American oak ex-bourbon and ex-sherry butts and hogsheads. Bottled at 47% by the expert team of Decadent Drinks, it's a wonderful example of Orkney's fresh, coastal style.

Nose: A suitably coastal, fresh profile with soft peppery peat smoke, light herbal notes, and waxy lemon rind.

Palate: Heathery and richly honeyed with a good waxy backbone, coal smoke, and drying herbal-tinged peat.

Finish: The finish delivers good length with emphatic peat, sea salt, peppery savory qualities, and gentle waxy notes.
