Glen Garioch 20 Year Old Thompson Bros

Distilled at Glen Garioch in 2006, this single malt spent 20 years maturing in a pair of red wine barriques. Layered with notes of damsons, tobacco, bitter orange, and cacao, a total of 357 bottles are brought to us by Thompson Bros.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose: Blackcurrant concentrate, marzipan, pastry, sun dried raisins, sun dried tomatoes, violets, brambles, plums and cherry liqueur. 

Palate: Sour Patch Kids, Ribena, cinnamon, chewing tobacco, damsons, figs and ground black pepper. Some bitter orange at the end, almost like Grand Marnier.

Finish:  Long, dry and tannic with some dark cacao and a slightly acetic edge.
